Storytelling Training

Your team has the data. I’ll help them find the story.

Your leaders give presentations that are technically perfect and emotionally flat. Your all-hands meetings feel like status updates. When things get hard, people retreat into jargon and bullet points instead of saying what actually needs to be said.

Its not a skills problem. Its a story problem. Your people have never been taught how to find the stories that build trust and make other people lean in.

Ive spent three years producing Moth-style storytelling events in Costa Rica, coaching everyday people to stand on a stage and tell a story that moves an audience to laughter, tears, and everything in between. I produced a seven-storyteller event at a Stanford reunion. Whether its a keynote, a fundraising pitch, or a team presentation — when the stakes are high, storytelling is what makes people listen.

What Ive learned: when people share their real stories, something shifts in the room. A colleague youve worked with for three years suddenly becomes a person you actually know. A leader who always seemed guarded earns the trust of their whole team in seven minutes on stage. Its not magic — it's a method. And I can teach it.

What I Offer

Storytelling Workshops (Half-Day or Full-Day)

Your team learns to find, craft, and tell personal stories in a supportive, structured environment. They leave with a story they can tell — on stage, in a meeting, or at a team dinner. Ideal for team building, culture events, leadership development, and all-hands.

Executive Story Coaching (3–5 Sessions)

One-on-one work with a leader preparing for something that matters: a keynote, a board presentation, a town hall, a fundraiser. We find the right story, shape it for maximum impact, and rehearse until it feels natural. Your leader walks into the room ready.

Storytelling Event Production

I produce the whole thing: coach each storyteller through their narrative, design the program, train the emcee, direct the musicians, and manage logistics. Five to seven people tell stories to an audience of their peers. Audiences consistently describe these events as unforgettable.

1. Tell me about your team.
What's the context? A retreat? A culture event? A leader who needs to nail a big talk? We'll figure out the right format together.

Here’s how we work together.

2. I design and deliver the experience.
Everything from coaching to staging. You don't have to manage anything — I handle it.

3. Your people see each other differently afterward.
The leader who shared something real on stage? People trust them now. The team that was polite but distant? They have a shared experience that changed the room. They'll talk about it for years.

When you Invest

People stop hiding behind slides. A leader shares what’s really happening, and instead of awkward silence, people lean in. The team that used to keep things professional and surface-level starts having the conversations that actually matter. The next hard conversation is a little less hard — because people have already seen each other be brave.

When you Don’t

Communication stays transactional. Teams stay polite but disconnected. When the next crisis hits, people default to self-protection instead of collaboration. Culture stays something you talk about on the careers page but nobody actually feels.

The process of learning the techniques and structure for good storytelling gave me a much greater sense of control. Delivering the story was satisfying and even cathartic, and I learned things about myself that I continued to reflect on long after.
